South East England
Our Coummunity
England has nine regions one of which is the South East. Berkshire is one of the six unitary authorities in the South East region and is both a geographic and ceremonial county as well as one of the counties bordering London.

Berkshire was granted the status of a ‘Royal County’ in 1957 as it is host to one of the British Royal family’s residences, Windsor Castle. Apart from London, the South East (9,241), the East (6,873), and West Midlands (3,615) are the regions in England that have the highest number of Ghanaian-born populations with the towns of Birmingham and Manchester hosting the next highest numbers after London (Asima, 2010).
